A Cry of Help

On Wednesday 26/05, 2010, Annidal Group of the Unemployed Postgraduate Cadres conducted a peaceful and symbolic march to the near squares of the Parliament. As a matter of routine, the group chanted the regular mottos, but this time with an apparent show of lasting trauma. Voices were as louder as possible and the cries too. The unpleasant psychological malaise goes hand in hand with the financial hardships met everyday, by everyone. Besides these engraved personal suffering, the cadres still suffer the residues of truncheons, hard kicks, and humiliating insults. In contradistinction to all human conventions, United Nations efforts, and international law and charts, which strive to improve economic and social conditions globally, and confirm the just right to employment, decent living and dignity, the government still postpones and, in fact, displays its lack of commitment in finding out an instant solution to the growing number of the unemployed cadres. In this vein, the group urges solemnly the government to immediately implement the promised 10% reserved for the despairing cadres encamping in Rabat, so that to put an end to the disappointing postponement of the solution, and to finish the daily suffering and pain that the groups go through. Lastly, as humble and honest people, the cadres call for more commitment that would enable them to view themselves as dignified citizens, well-cared for and protected.
